Mel is a freelance Set and Costume Designer who enjoys using her background in Fine Art to research and create new worlds onstage. She particularly enjoys illustrating different time periods through design and exploring illusion within set. The analysis of text is a key aspect of Mel’s designing process, inspiring and developing her ideas with a focus on history, politics and interpersonal relationships within the performance.

Having graduated from Rose Bruford College with a BA(Hons) in Design for Theatre and Performance in 2021, she is excited to explore old and new theatrical works to bring her exciting and innovative perspectives to life through her set and costume designs.
