'Tennessee Williams: Triple Bill'

'I Never Get Dressed Before Dark on Sunday', 'The Magic Tower' and 'The Long Goodbye' by Tennessee Williams

Rose Bruford College

A triple bill of Tennessee Williams’ short plays, 'I Never Get Dressed Till After Dark On Sunday', 'The Magic Tower' and 'The Long Goodbye', all set in one Brownstone apartment in early twentieth century Harlem. A hundred years ago The Brownstones of Harlem, now gentrified and grand, were still rooming houses for the most part, host to a transient population on the way up or on the way back down- artists and strivers - dreamers and the hopeless. The memories housed in the walls of one such apartment were explored as a glimpse into the lives of its inhabitants and a meditation on time and memory.

'Love and Information' by Carol Churchill

Rose Bruford College

A kaleidoscope of short scenes exploring the comedy of communication, a drama of depression, love, sex and memory. This piece explores human connection in a modern age. The set/costumes reflected this creating a cold atmosphere of information contrasted with the unfolding of emotional scenes onstage as well as the use of lighting and projection.
